House Progress Pictures for January

After the holidays our house really started picking up!! So much going on right now! Where to start.... Actually I'll start with the couple pictures of the kids working around the property. We usually spend a few hours of our Saturday morning over picking up around the house, lots of wood, trim pieces, nails, screws and trash in general. Daniel and Jackson put up nailers for our tongue and groove while Ivy and I stained the wood planks of our tongue and groove. It's a habit that will continue... Saturdays will be spent working before playing. We have lots of trees which will require raking leaves and the lakefront will constantly be needing attention. The kids hate it but I love putting in a full days worth of good hard work!!

We have a roof on our house!! Before they could roof it they had to finish the 2nd floor exterior so that's painted here as well.

The trim crew keeps plugging along. Lots of pictures of different sides of the house.

Our dock is getting started!

We have a few doors in and some stain samples of our tongue and groove. 

Our shop is coming along as well!!

Siding is pretty much finished!! Just need to paint the bottom floor and then the brick mason will start. 

Also our pool is progressing. They sprayed the gunite. We watched it and it was pretty interesting!

On the inside we have drywall!!!

And the shop gets its roof!!

Baptism Preview

You might be thinking who the heck is getting baptized this year because I was!!! Benny did just turn 7!! But it's true... in 2022 he will turn 8 (even though we are just about an entire year away) and he will be baptized! We enjoyed an evening out with just our boy and his cute little class. 

 

In the Month of January

New Year's day... relaxing with a good book. 

Celebrated my birthday with an awesome juice session after workout! Went out to dinner at Rise Pies with the whole fam-bam and then enjoyed a 1-on-1 Friday night with Daniel, dinner and shopping. 

Enjoying one of his favorite Christmas gifts... 

One of my favorite moments of the day is just before I wake Jackson up in the morning. I just love adoring his sweet sleeping face. Sometimes I have to take a picture of it so I can remember it forever. 

We spent Mr. Luther King Jr. Day park hopping with the cuzzies. They are a fun crew. We ended the day at the park where Daniel and I can enjoy our hobby this new year.... pickleball!!

Can you believe the sunrise? I get to catch it every morning walking home from workout. 

This kid made it 100 days this year!! Didn't catch a picture of his 100 day shirt or 100 day snack but got the 100 day hat!

Other December Pictures...

Ivy ended the year strong in her Activity Day group. She starts her last year in the Primary at our church in 2022! Sadly... all the girls she loves move up on her so she's the only girl her age in Primary right now!!

One of Daniel's favorite past times.... taking out all of his guns, lining them up, cleaning them, admiring them, etc... I think we have too many... what do you think? 

Is there ever a month when I don't post one of these beauties?

We all had to be Covid tested before we left for our cruise. That was an interesting experience!! Definitely unpleasant, that's for sure! Luckily, we were all negative!

This pup is our absolute favorite!!

This was how we rang in the New Year! Ha!! We had just gotten home from the cruise on New Year's Eve so I was in a post cruise funk. Daniel had the older kids watching the football game over at Heather and Ryan's and I came home early to get this kiddo to bed at a decent hour. I put myself to bed as well and vaguely remember Daniel giving me a smootch at the New Year. Honestly, I can't think of a single thing I wanted to be doing more than snuggling with my Boo in my own comfy cozy bed!! Here's to 2022!!

 

Christmas Cruise

We decided this year we would give the kids a cruise for Christmas. We are in the middle of building a house and our goal is to clean everything out that we've acquired over the last 18 years... the last thing we wanted to do was buy them a bunch more stuff!! Santa brought them a few gifts and their stockings and most of the presents under the tree were pieces of paper with words and/or letters that spelled out "We Are Go-ing On A C-R-U-I-S-E." Although everyone was excited it wasn't quite the jumping up and down and complete and utter bliss I had envisioned in my mind. Oh well... can't win them all!! Christmas was on Saturday and we left for the cruise Monday. Well, come Monday everyone was plenty excited!!! And we had the best time!! It helped that we had Grandma and Godad and the Jordan Munns family joining us!! Some of the cruise highlights were.... the waterslides, the surf rider, ice skating, the water park on Coco Cay, unlimited ice cream, the pool and hot tub, dinner, movies, pizza, and the kids club. It truly was so fun!! The best way to spend the last week of Christmas break!!

CHRISTMAS

Santa showed up at our house for Christmas this year!! He brought fishing poles for all, Ivy a new wake surf, Benny a left-handed bow with a target, and Hey Dudes for Jackerton among many other things. We had very happy children.
