iPhone Scare

I thought I lost my iPhone tonight. I was in tears and just felt so sick about it. I mean, apart from the fact that it is expensive and the pains of losing all my contact info, it was the pictures that really made me feel sick. I currently have over 300 pictures of my precious boy on this thing that I thought were gone forever. So I've been browsing through them thinking "oh thank goodness I still have this one!!" Thank you Heather for convincing me that you can pray over a lost phone and thank goodness she did because she had more faith than I had tonight.

Here is one of my favorites. How sad it would have been to not have this photo!!! Thank goodness for tender mercies.

SANTA!!!

Jack Jack is such a happy, go-to-anyone-with-a-smile type of guy I thought Santa would be no problem, but there must be something about the big white beard or the red suit that sends babies into tears. This was taken just moments before the meltdown. He was still adorable, tears and all.

9 Months

I can't believe the little rugrat is 9 months old. I clearly remember having him just the other day. What a great addition he is to our family. I love every single day I have with him. I'm a lucky mom.

Thanksgiving Day

Words cannot express how grateful I am for my little family. I think I'll simply say that life is good.

Busy as a Bee

We are busy these days. Crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything. He was even climbing up the backrest of our couch to get to my fall flowers! He doesn't sit still unless he's forced to by straps. He must be grabbing something at any given moment. We are experiencing lots of bumps and even a couple bruises. But it is so fun!

Trouble

This is how I've been finding my little guy upon waking. He is a maniac, pulling up anywhere he possibly can. We are in trouble!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

As I sit here tonight browsing through friends and family blogs I find a common theme among them... HALLOWEEN!!! I thought I better get my act together and post Jack's first Halloween pics before I never do. I must say - his costume was adorable and he was hands down the cutest baby of the night, anywhere on the entire earth. And if you disagree with me, well then, I just might have to fight you! :)

Alligator Huntress

As most of you know, Daniel is big into hunting... and I am not. He is very diligent in trying to change my mind, and I do believe that I have come around on many things. I have handled, shot and currently own guns, which I would have never, ever thought would happened. I have allowed him to hang his animal mounts in his office which, previously, I would have never allowed anywhere in my home! And I try to be supportive of him when he goes (quite often) on hunting trips. But to actually hunt myself, no, I don't want to ever do that. I DID, however, agree to going gator hunting and Daniel was so excited. Here is my reasoning on this. If given the chance - a gator would annihilate me in seconds. A deer - not so much. Gators are a nuisance, dangerous and over populated. I tried to think of them as giant cockroaches - which I have NO problem killing. Deer - while their population must be controlled as well, can be hunted by those who want to - not by me. They are too beautiful. Anyhow, I was able to get 2 gators. This is how it's done. You first harpoon them, then drag them back to the boat and when they are close enough you kill them with a bang stick. Both of my gators were just over 7 feet and yes, their heads are being mounted as we speak. Please don't think any differently of me... I have just become a product of my environment. :)

It's Tradition

For the 3rd year in a row now we've celebrated our anniversary with the Sniders.

This year we planned an amazing little jaunt to Longboat Key! And boy was it AMAZING!! Just kidding. It had the potential to be amazing but the weather did not comply.
So did the boys get to go on their fishing charter we booked for them? No.
Did we get to enjoy the pool and the beautiful beach? No.
We did do, however, what we do best... EAT!!
And we had Jack Jack in tow, so no real break for me.
But we always enjoy the company!!
Happy Anniversary Babe!!
6 years and counting.
(By the way... our anniversary is on the 11th so this is just a tad bit late.)
The whole gang.
The Munns Family.
The Sniders.

Eva in all her pregnant glory!

I can't believe that when we were in Mexico last year, I was the one pregnant.

Where does the time go??

The beach we didn't get to enjoy!

The happy travelers.
And the bestest little baby of course!

A Visit to the State for Lovers...

Virginia, that is.

We spent a week visiting the Anderson crew and Jordan and Shanda.

We had a fabulous time.

Here are some of the things we did!
-Went to the AMAZING safari where we saw some very cool animals, Daniel was afraid of the ostrich and a camel almost ate Tee's arm.

-Watched some football!! Duce is playing TACKLE football this year, which is awesome. And Jettie scored every time he had the ball!

-Did some SERIOUS pumpkin carving. It was unanimous... our pumpkin placed last. :(

-Had some quality time with the sisters.
-Daniel did some hunting, of course. The purpose of the trip (although semi unsuccessful).
-And a nasty, nasty case of poison ivy!!

We absolutely loved the cool, crisp, fall weather and spending time with our family that we miss!! Jack loved being entertained by his cousins and we miss them already.
