Fishing Trip to Jupiter, FL

I guess it was time to get the new boat off the lake and into the ocean! We made a day trip down to Jupiter to do some offshore fishing. I've decided that day trips aren't for me. We were up super duper early, drove 2 hours (still didn't get in the water as early as Daniel would have liked) didn't catch much bait, had a little luck trolling (it was about this time that I was puking over the side of the boat - which is weird because I don't get seasick) so we headed out to sea to do some fishing and caught several fish - no keepers, but enough action to make it fun. I still wasn't feeling great... ended up getting sick one more time. It was really unfortunate. When we headed back in, we stopped off at the sand bar for a little bit - which was heavenly for me - Jackson caught 3 more fish while Benny and Ivy played in the sand and I rested under a perfectly shady palm tree. I felt much better after that and I decided I'm a few hour sea fisherman, rather than an all day fisherman. You live and learn, right?
That picture at the very bottom is a picture of our boat!

Daddy Daughter Date

It had been awhile since Daniel took his little girl out on a daddy daughter date. Sophie came along with them and they ate dessert as an appetizer at Chili's (typical Daniel move). Shopping for matching shirts has become a tradition and then if the dessert at Chili's wasn't enough... frozen yogurt!! The night ended with a sleep-over... and why sleep in separate beds when you can sleep together, right? These girls really love each other.

California here we come!

Our annual summer trip to California happened the 1st day of June. Everyone was super excited and we had a great trip! Luckiest treat for us was that Daniel flew out with us Thursday night!! Woohoo! He stayed until Sunday night and then we stayed until the next Saturday. It was a great trip. Probably could have stayed a few days longer.
We stayed with Grandpa and Mimi and had excellent accomodations as always. Plenty of room to sleep comfortably, even a vehicle to drive, a pool to swim in and excellent company - complete with plenty of American Ninja Warrior!
Jeff and Hannah drove out from Arizona to see us which was so so nice. We loved spending time with them and little Brookie and Shaylee.
Nate and Dara's kids were still in school but we saw them just about every evening we could. We dined and swam pretty much to our hearts content. We made sure we had a couple sleepovers, the kids even got to go toilet papering (a favorite for sure!)
We drove down and met my Aunt Sue in San Clemente for pizza and the park with my cousin Rachels kids, who my kids loved playing with!
We watched Jake play basketball, we had a pool party at my Aunt Sandee's, we went to the La Brea Tar Pits to see some legit ice aged fossils, we went to the El Dorado Nature Center with my cousin Rob's kids and to the park, did more and more swimming with my cousin Jill's kids.
We spend the day with Uncle Sam at Seal Beach... was a little cold but catching crabs is always a favorite. He took the kids frisbee golfing and ninja warrioring at the skate park.
We made sure to visit with our GG. The kids really took to her and gave her lots of love and attention which made my heart so happy!! It was a really nice visit and I'm so happy I got a couple pictures of her with the kids.
I didn't get pictures of everything but I got some goodies. Can't wait for next summer!!
