Oak Shore Drive

I've been trying not to think about leaving the house we are currently in! We've been here for 15 years!! I brought all my babies home to this house. It is all they know! We know every last one of our dear neighbors and absolutely love this street. I am so so sad to leave it. It is familiar, safe, and fun. My kids walk, ride, cruise, skate, scoot all over this place, it will be an adjustment for sure.

We didn't have to list it. We had someone approach us wanting to buy it but while we were negotiating the price my worried self got anxious thinking I needed to get ready to list it just in case so I took some pictures of it. Luckily the negotiations worked out to where we are all happy and as one of my friends pointed out, now I have some really good pictures to remember our house by!! Here they are!

Spring Flag Football!

This spring season has been soooo nice! All 3 kids wanted to play flag football and their practices and games are all on the same nights in the same place!! I've been spending a lot of time at the football fields but it's been better than running all around to soccer and softball and football like the crazy mom I was last year!!
This season has been really nice. Benny had the same coach from last season which is the coach that coached Jackson a few years ago that we love. He's so great and Benny had a really fun season with him. Their final record was 3-5 which doesn't look great but most of their games were pretty darn close and a couple of their wins were from the top seeded teams so it really was a good season. They didn't make it to playoffs but Benny doesn't really care quite yet. He had a pick-6 this season, pulled some great flags and was a happy camper.
Ivy's season has been phenomenal!! First day of practice her coach said that he coached last year, didn't win a single game, but the kids had fun and he's just out to have a good time!! Well, that's exactly what they've done.... had a REALLY good time... because they are awesome!! Ivy is the quarterback and she has done a great job!! They have some really good little players on their team and they get along so well it has been the most fun season to watch!! They headed into the playoffs in 2nd place out of 8 teams having lost to the #1 team only by extra points!! Unfortunately, they lost in the first playoff game. We weren't too upset by it because had we won and went to the championship game we would have missed it (we were in Ireland by then). It truly was such a great, fun season... but let me tell you, having a child as the quarterback is the most stressful way to watch a game!!! Serious nerves for my baby girl in the stands!
Jackson played up in the 13-15 league this year and his season has gone okay. He's done really great! I've been really impressed with his speed and he can pull flags like a boss... but it's nothing like tackle and that is what he really likes. It will be good to see him back in pads in the fall.

A Whole Lot of Fishing...

He's got a little bit of freedom with his little jon boat and if he ever has a free afternoon you can find him on the chain of lakes fishing! He has a good friend his age that lives just across the street, Saylor, and they are the perfect fishing duo. They even know how to take the picture "just right" so the fish looks as big as possible!!

Easter Sunday 2022

Easter was a beautiful Sunday and we had a really nice day. Only thing I would change is our sissy pants. She was running a fever and had to stay home... from church and our Easter Sunday family dinner. Poor thing. Grandma Vicky and I loaded up plates and came home to eat with her so she wasn't alone but it's no fun when you're feeling sick. We snagged plenty of family pictures before we left, though, and she was able to dye Easter eggs so she was happy! And I think this is the very first year I didn't take pictures of their Easter baskets!! Darn!
