Thanksgiving Break 2020

Shanda and I made some real big plans for our Thanksgiving break! We weren't going to let a whole week of no school go by without making it count! We did some pretty fun things!!

BOWLING!! It was delightful! Adults on one, big kids on another and the littles on a third. They were all self sufficient and happy and we had a great time! By the way, the corona virus does not exist at the bowling alley!!
Cookie decorating!! This was a real hit!
We enjoyed a beautiful evening on our lakefront property, running around and building a bonfire! Well, I suppose it was a little bigger than a bonfire.

Wild Florida!!

Then, of course, TURKEY DAY!! Had to document the cheese pie! And I only took one picture... of the adult table. But at least we enjoyed our dinner.

Once Thanksgiving is over... then the Christmas decorations come out! My grandma used to have a bigger green tree this like this. One of my eyelash clients gave me this small silver one a year or so ago and it makes me so nostalgic.
The day was so beautiful. I was putting up lights outside and this boy was enjoying the weather and his pup!!
We did a few more fun things, like a family kickball game, that we just didn't get pictures of. But it was a super fun and successful break!! Looking forward to the next one!!

Veteran’s Day at Disney

It’s become a little tradition to spend Veteran’s Day at Disney. This year we went to Animal Kingdom and joined up with the Snider’s. Even with covid it was still pretty busy and we waited in some long lines (and wearing a mask all day was the pits) but the kids had a wonderful time!! It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the company!!

Other October Events

After Maverick's birthday party everyone thought it would be fun to get muddy. I guess it was!

My gaming children
Neighborhood gang!
Love getting texts from Jackson like this:
We've been burning debris at our new property and we decided on a Friday night to make campfire tin foil dinners, hot dogs and roast marshmallows. They kids had a blast running around and getting dirty. It was a pretty big campfire!!

Halloween 2020

We had a wonderful Halloween this year! Covid didn't stop us one bit (minus the school parade I didn't get to go to, but trick-or-treating has never been better!)
Traditional pumpkin carving for Family Home Evening the Monday before.

Our church still had a trunk-or-treat!! We "social distanced" the cars and were supposed to wear masks but man it felt good to be together and socialize and have fun!! In keeping with Halloween tradition, Ivy was something scary!! A werewolf!! Benny was the "bad" spiderman this year (the good one last year... I tried my hardest to convince him to be a ghost but he could not be swayed!) And Jackson, always the trusty "hunter".

Six years of scary Ivy!!
For school she had to be a leader and here she is Kyle Lowry. Benny is from t he 50's... with his fellow kindergartner bus rider Brynlee.

And finally, our trick-or-treating crew!! We enjoyed a little neighborhood gathering with Chili, cornbread, hot dogs, and dessert then hit the street!! It was perfect!!
