Halloween 2023

Halloween this year flew by in a flash. Typically we have all kinds of Halloweenish things going on and it's at least a week full of activities and such but this year... not so! Ivy's championship soccer game was the night of our church's Trunk-or-Treat so for the first time in our lives we missed it! They don't do anything Halloweenish for middle school or high school and the only thing that Benny's school did was a storybook parade and that was the morning of Halloween! So besides the actual day of Halloween that I went to Benny's parade and trick-or-treating that night in our old neighborhood, there wasn't too much to document. I didn't put out a single decoration and even though I bought pumpkins to carve... we never had the chance to carve them!!! Every night there was something going on (a practice or a game or visiting Godad) so it just didn't happen! Ivy weaseled her way into another congregation's trunk-or-treat with her cousins but she was on her own with her costume. So you'll see Ivy with her cousins, Benny's parade, and a few pictures from Halloween night. Ivy was the grim reaper, Benny was Steph Curry, and I was Daniel! (all the WF wives dressed as their husbands). Jackson went trick or treating with some friends in a different neighborhood and we left while he was in the shower so I didn't even get a picture of him in his Spiderman shirt and mask. He said he had a great time and I was a little sad that this was the first Halloween my teenage kiddo didn't join us!! I'm sure that will be the norm from here on out!
