Benny's First Lost Tooth!

The day before we left for our end of the summer, week long trip to the Keys, Benny and Jackson were rough housing in Jackson's room. Not unusual. When Benny started crying I went in to see what all the ruckus was about and there was a whole lot of blood. So, they were playing a "cutting" game with one of their plastic swords (you know that isn't going to end well) and a portion on the end of the sword had been chewed up by Rosco. So when Jackson "pretended" to cut Benny's cheek with the sword, Benny instinctively bites the sword and when Jackson yanks the sword out of his mouth, it snags on Benny's tooth, ripping it out of his mouth (prematurely of course... it wasn't even close to being loose). I mean... look at the size of that root!! I was panicking, Jackson was a total wreck of guilt and Benny is crying and covered in blood. Yikes. So we get Benny cleaned up and both boys calmed down. After a phone call into the dentist we were assure the tooth was for the tooth fairy and that he would be fine... just to wait until the permanent one grows in. Wonder when that will be..... ??
The tooth fairy did come and paid a large sum of money because she felt so bad for the kiddo.
