4th of July in the Bahamas

Daniel talked me into a trip to the Bahamas with Jordan and Shanda in their Crewship. I have to admit, I had a lot of anxiety about it... driving over by ourselves in the boat. But I conquered my fear and went!! The drive over was smooth sailing!!! The fishing, the snorkeling, the boating, the beaches, the water, the weather.... was all very wonderful. The motel we stayed in on Grand Cay... disgusting. Really put a damper on the trip and made the days on the boat seem long. Guess the bad always comes with the good. Here are the pictures from our trip.

The start of our voyage.

 Grand Cay!!!
Our accomodations. The pictures make it look way better than it was. Sadly, it was just the state of the island. There wasn't really any place that was any better. We begged the boys to take us to the Wyndham in Freeport but no dice.

Just a little snorkeling mishaps. Happens when you try and stay down too long and come up too quickly.

Our first afternoon we had so much fun pulling all kinds of fish out of the water while trolling. A couple times we all had a fish on a line at the same time!
Fresh sashimi right on the boat!!

There was nowhere to eat on the island (or that we wanted to eat) and no place to cook in our rooms so we prepared most meals on the boat. And we ate pretty darn well!! Lots of fish!!
Just some footage of the island. It really was such a poor, run down little island. So sad in the middle of paradise!!

 Our whole group!
That's a shark. We saw them everywhere we went.

Finding some ice cream was a highlight!!!
