Happy New Year!! (My Christmas Post)

Happy New Year!

It has been a very busy last couple of days and the next couple of days will be equally busy. We are lucky enough to have Nate & Dara and kids here visiting with Jeff and Hannah! It has been so much fun! But I will post about our adventures with them another time. While I have a moment I want to document our wonderful Christmas!!

We received a Christmas craft kit from our secret Santa for Christmas last year and Jackson loved it. He kept asking me what Christmas craft we would be doing this year and luckily I found the easiest of all Christmas crafts on Pinterest and they loved it! They are supposed to be wreaths but my kids didn't fill them up very full so they look more like ornaments. Either way, they are cute and my kids were happy! We did this on Christmas Eve morning.
Christmas Eve night we went over to my moms for a delicious dinner and did a little gift exchange. To say our kids are spoiled is an total understatement.

Yep... Santa came!
Ivy woke up about 7:30 and Daniel couldn't stand it any longer and woke Jackson up at 7:45. The kids were so happy and excited about their gifts. Hearing things like, "this was the best Christmas ever!" and "me love Santa so much!" makes a moms heart soar!! The kids really were so happy.
After our Christmas morning here at our house we went to Daniel's parents for his traditional breakfast of cream shrimp on toast. After breakfast we came home for naps and to play with and organize our bounty and then back to Daniel's parents house for the most delicious Christmas dinner that night. Prime rib, lamb chops, pork chops, turkey, duck, lobster and crab along with the most delicious and delectable side dishes ever. And what made it absolutely perfect was sitting right next to my hubby and my mom. So glad she's here to spend the holidays with us. We are so lucky and truly blessed.
