Halloween 2022

Halloween seemed to last a reeeeally long time this year! It started with our church's Trunk-or-Treat the Wednesday before. Ivy was a very scary skeleton and Benny was a football player. Jackson opted to not join us this year and was playing a game of pick-up football in our old neighborhood. We picked up Rita and Sophie to join us and had a great night together.

Next up, Friday, Benny's school storybook parade. Just 1 little guy to watch this year! He was smiling the whole time. I sure love him!

Saturday night we went over to the Holl's in Bay Lake for their annual neighborhood Halloween celebration. I was a little skeptical because Bay Lake's Halloween night has a rowdy reputation but it was a lot of fun! We spent most of the night just visiting and playing at the Holl's. Jackson took off on foot with some of his friends and then Daniel and I joined Shanda and Jordan on their mule along with a couple other golf carts and rode around for some trick-or-treating with the other kiddos. Kids had a blast and turned out to be a super fun night.
By the time Halloween rolled around on Monday, we were pretty spent! (correction - I was spent!) But we carried on!! Eva had people over back in Nova Bay for some outdoor dinner of pizza and trick-or-treating to follow and it was a perfect night. The weather was beautiful and there was a pile of kids galore!! My kids took off with their respective friends and/or cousins and I didn't see them all night.
When we finally got home, candy sorting commenced and then Ivy had a near meltdown that we never carved pumpkins. (It's true... we had pumpkins but never got around to carving them!!) So we carved them right then and there!! Next day I couldn't take down the Halloween decor fast enough but looking back it was a fun, fun week long Halloween season! We are blessed.
