Jamison and Sarah get sealed!!

The day after Grandma and Godad's party, Jamison and Sarah were able to be sealed in the Orlando temple. When covid came, their wedding plans in April were frustrated and they ended up getting married with just their immediate family at the beach in Melbourne. Well, temples are now finally operating for live ordinances with restriction, but that didn't stop us. We may not have been able to attend the sealing (only 16 people allowed in the sealing room at a time) but we came to the temple to celebrate with the afterwards and it was so nice being back on the temple grounds. I miss that place. Grateful for Jamison's and Sarah's example and glad we were able to be a part of their special day.

 

Grandma & Godad's Surprise 50th Wedding Anniversary Party

April and Ranier celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 18th of 2020. They had originally planned to take everyone on a cruise over Christmas Break. Of course corona made sure that didn't happen. But what to do instead...??? Well, everyone decided we could pull off a surprise party and we did!! They had no idea!! Everyone from out west flew in to be there. Only a handful of grandkids weren't in attendance (Calvin & Emily are stuck in New Zealand until he finishes his internship and Aidan and Anna are on missions.) It was a fun and exciting surprise. We arranged for them to have a night at a hotel the night before. We held the event at Wild Florida and had BBQ catered by 4Rivers. We had a wedding cake for them, a soda bar, a slide show, a special book made and then shared memories of them through the years and ended the night with some music and dancing. It was so fun. Eva shot the surprise and some nice family pictures for them. Here are the ones I snapped (and a few that Ivy snapped... she's so cute with a few of her cuzzies).   

'Tis the Season!

Who doesn't love this time of year!? We busted out the Christmas pins, the Christmas dog sweater and our official Covid Santa picture this year!

Also fun to note... the weather this December has been absolutely beautiful and this lake day was amazing!!

 

Benny's 6th Birthday!

It's tradition for our family to go and stay at a "hootel" for Benny's birthday each year. I absolutely love the tradition! This year we went at stayed a night at the Gaylord Palms and it was soooo fun because it was all decked out for Christmas! We ate dinner on the way so once we got there we didn't have to leave. It was so fun walking around and seeing all the decorations. They had a free and fun little show with cool performers that we watched. And eventually we made it to the amazing pool that was heated and we stayed there for the rest of the night! We had a great time!!

We stayed at the hotel the weekend before Benny's birthday so we had the actual birthday to look forward to. It was on a school day so he went to school and that night, after having all his favorites for dinner, we had cousins over for cake and ice cream. He had the best day and was as happy as could be when all the festivities were over. Love our little 6 year old!!
