Family Trip to St. Pete Beach!

It has become a family tradition to go on a family beach vacation for a few days before Wild Florida gets really busy. This year we went to St. Petersberg... specifically Treasure Island. We had SUCH a good time (as always!) Our hotel certainly wasn't Captiva like last year but it suited us just fine. We were 3 doors down from the pool and our back door opened up to the beach! Our days went something like this: breakfast, pool, beach, pool, lunch, nap, pool/beach, fishing, dinner, pool, bed. It was heavenly. Relaxing, fun and perfectly perfect for my hotel obsessed, beach bum, pool rat children. Where to next year.... ?
Jackson ate shrimp or lobster bisque for dinner every night!!
Photo bomber Jackson!

Doing some serious posting...

You might be wondering how I'm getting all this blog posting done. Well this is why... :
Daniel is the trail boss for the Trek this year. His brother is his right hand man. Anyhow, I have a few lonely nights ahead of me. Might as well catch up on my blog!

Wild Florida

One of Wild Florida's newest arrivals!!

The Grand Opening of the animal park is this Saturday. There have really been some amazing things done there and I'm amazed at how far it's come! We are lucky to be apart of it!

Brother Munns

This handsome husband of mine just got called into the bishopric.... yikes!!
He's perfect for the job but we will sure miss our dad!

Luckiest

I mean, really? I'm the luckiest mom to these two sweet faced kids.

Berry Picking

We never miss the chance to berry pick at Chapman's farm!! The blueberries this year were the best I've ever had in my whole life. The blackberries weren't ready yet and I think we missed our window. Oh well. Ivy was done after about 2 minutes but we filled our buckets!!
She didn't do a bad job taking our picture, did she?

Mother's Day Blue Door Spa

I can't believe I never posted about Jackson's Mother's day activity. His class had a "Blue Door Spa Day" where the moms were pampered and let me tell you... one of the best days ever!!! I got a massage, manicure and make-over! Hair, make-up, nails... the works!! It was so super cute, complete with Jackson's smock. He couldn't have been cuter.

The End of Baseball, the End of Playschool

The end of May brought the end of a couple of things I was sad to see go. First, Jackson's baseball season ended. Overall, it was a good year and a good experience for Jackson. He was, however, happy when it was over. I really enjoyed watching his practices once a week and his games each Saturday. His coaches pitched to all the boys and they really weren't too bad! My only complaint is that Jackson didn't get to play all the positions. I was looking forward to the game he'd play 1st base and he never did :( This irked me a little bit because there were several boys who played the position several times. But whatever... I didn't want to be "that" parent. His last practice was a water balloon day so it ended on a very good note for him. He was really excited about his trophy and they had an end of the year party so the boy was really happy! Not sure if we'll see baseball come in the rotation again but you never know!
And this little "graduate" finished Playschool! This was one of the best things we did this school year. Ivy and the girls absolutely LOVED Playschool. And let's be honest. I absolutely loved playschool. 1 day a week I was kid free for a few hours and Ivy was happy as a clam playing at one of her favorites places.... total win/win!!  And on my very last day that I hosted I dressed the girls in Jackson's graduation gown and took pictures. We also made our own graduation caps as our craft. Ivy has shed many tears because she won't have playschool next year... hopefully preschool for 2 days of the week will suffice?

Our Little Graduate!

Here is my absolutely adorable PreK Graduate! I know, the whole "graduation ceremony for preschool" is ridiculous but he couldn't be any cuter and I love a good reason to celebrate!!
He was an excellent singer and only covered his face with his hands a couple times :)
His teacher this year was Ms. Denise and we absolutely LOVED her!! She was so fun and so loving and easy to talk to and communicate with. I really wish we could bring her with us to kindergarten.
And speaking of kindergarten.... Here is Jackson with his cousin, Porter at the Kindergarten Round-Up! He is registered and ready to rock and rock in the fall! He is so excited but I bet it lasts the first week before he's ready to be done :)
