Youth Conference 2023

The very first weekend of the summer was Youth Conference. This was Jackson's first time going! It was missionary themed and each participant received a mission call. Jackson was called to Switzerland, German speaking, and his mission presidents were Porter and Beverly Brown. When we pulled up to drop him off we were greeted by Nate Pratt who was sure to tell Jackson how glad he was that he was there. He offered to take our picture. Another tender mercy. I felt so lucky!! Jae Bohman was so good to send me pictures and videos of him throughout the weekend. He seemed to have a great time and his report afterwards was all good! 

 

Other Fun Stuff in May...

The day of Ivy's birthday party Christine took all the boys to a movie and then fishing/swimming/playing at her house. Benny's dream day. 

Cute Cousin football roundup

We got a phone call from our old neighbors, Kay and Larry (who we love) one night asking for help to get an alligator out of their pool!! They knew the right people to call!

Some early morning fishing, between workout and school, and this kids catches a giant mud fish!!

The official last day of school was the Tuesday after Labor Day. No one sends their kids to school after a 3 day weekend for 1 last day... so silly. We rented a slide, invited all our friends and kicked off the summer!!

Catching whoppers!

I go to an early morning workout class led by our most darling, adorable, ripped, fitness instructor Cassity! We surprised her for her birthday and cut class short to enjoy some protein smoothies. I choreographed a warm up to the Beatles Birthday song and we celebrated while we sweat! Best way to start my days!!

Our area put on a live Tabernacle Event across from the temple in Orlando. It was a pretty cool experience and Daniel was a part of the building crew, of course. 

Cutest Benny sure loves his cousin, Sophie... being a snuggle bug. 

2nd Grade

Benny has had a great year with Ms. Gilbert. He's loved being a reader leader with the most AR points in his whole class! (which is odd because he actually hates reading). I was able to spend some time with him in his classroom for a Mother's day program and I just love my school boy!! I stuck a picture in here of when Wild Florida came to visit the school as well... Benny had a surprise visitor in class!!

Middle School Sports Awards Night

This 6th grade girl made 2 teams this year... basketball and flag football so she got double awarded! What was really awesome was that she got the MVP award for her flag football team!! Plus... all of Jackson's 8th grade friends were there and gave her the loudest cheering section! Made my mama heart so happy!! 

Middle School Fishing Tournament Invite

The Osceola Angler's fishing club hosts a tournament every year for the middle schoolers and Jackson was able to participate this year. He was paired with an Osceola Angler team member and competed. They didn't place but Jackson did catch the big fish on his boat which was nice. He didn't want me taking any pictures... It was held at the Sheriff's training grounds and they had activities set up for families for the day so the other 2 enjoyed themselves as well!!

Guys Bohemian Fishing Trip

One last final boys fishing trip hurrah before Ryan heads off to Paris. They brought Jordan and Ryan's boat and had some of Heather's brothers tag along also. They had a great time... caught lots of fish, did some diving. Only a small problem heading home with one of Jordan's motors... turned the 2.5 hour trip across the water back into an 8 hour trip! Glad it didn't happen when we had the kids on board!! They did make it back safely so all is well!

Just the boys taking all kids of pictures one night. Did they have permission to be on the roof? No, no they did not. 

Mother's Day 2023

We had a perfectly delicious and simple (at my request) Mother's Day breakfast before church started. All the kids obliged Mother's Day pictures with me, before, during and after church. I loved matching dressing with Ivy and wearing my homemade jewelry from Benny. I had to snap a quick pic of all the kids lounging in the family room after church because I felt so grateful to be a mother to each of them. Undocumented was the delicious Mother's day dinner Daniel had for me and both my mom and his mom! We are a lucky group!
