Other July Photos

This cute kids loves fishing and I love those baby blue eyes!!
Morning selfies in sissies room.
Keeping this kid reverent in church is close to impossible.
Watching kookslams, epic fails, scorps, etc... a favorite pastime. Oh the giggles!
Ivy was invited to Medieval Times for a Holland's birthday... lucky gal!!

It's been unofficially decided that Rosco is everyone's favorite!!
The current owners of Grandma & Godad's old Hacienda have recently sold the house again. They were having an estate sale so Shanda and I went just to snoop around and see the old place. They still had these up....

New House Build Progress

We saw quite a bit of progress on our new house in July. Our pad was poured and the concrete block was delivered and put up!!! Very, very exciting stuff!! We have been busy figuring out pool and gazebo plans, shop plans, seawall demo, dock plans, bathtub selection, etc... Feels very overwhelming at times but just plugging along and checking things off helps.
Also something very exciting that happened in July is we sold our house on Virginia Avenue. Bitter sweet. It was the first house we bought and we've been renting it for the last 15 years but it was the right thing to do and the right time to do it... definitely the best market for it.

A trip to the ballfields...

Orlando is a hot spot for sure. We get a lot of vacationers and it's a sports hub as well. As luck would have it, my cousins Rachel's oldest son, Anthony, had a baseball tournament in Lake Mary... close enough!! It was so fun going to watch his team play! A storm was looming which kept the evening a little muggy but not quite as blistering hot. A few drizzles just cooled us off. It was fun being at the ball fields again. Dinner and milkshakes afterwards!

Summer Traditions

One of our summer traditions is going to the Orlando Science Center. I thought that maybe we had grown out of it but the older kids still wanted to go this year! If they have a buddy they can cruise the place without an adult so I think they liked the independence. I just followed Benny around who is the perfect age to spend all day there. We had cousins join us so it was a great day! That night Ivy followed it up with a game night. She planned the games, picked out the snacks and treats and we invited some friends and cousins to come over for a late night. It was a good summer day!!

Scalloping in Crystal River

We went to Crystal River for a couple days. We always have a good times scalloping. Benny was 100% self sufficient this year. Last year he struggled with the snorkel a little bit, this year he was as good as gold!! So much fun. He found scallops all on his own and loved it. We were able to meet up with some families on the water on day 2 and even talked Anne and Justin Anderson into renting a boat and joining us. So fun to be with them for a day.

Red Snapper Fishing

We spent a day on the boat red snapper fishing. We didn't limit but we didn't get skunked either. It was enough to keep our spirits up for the most part but was also a very long day baking on the boat. Everyone had a good time and red snapper is delicious. And Jackson caught a shark!!

4th of July 2021

We spent the drizzly, cloudy, rainy 4th of July over at the Snider's lakefront. The bad weather did not stop us from having a great time! I did not take a single picture so these are 1- the picture that Ivy took during the fireworks show and 2- a few pictures that a friend sent over to me. I'll take what I can get! It'll be the last event at the Snider's lakefront where we've had many a good times... (Cinco de Mayo parties, New Year's Eve celebration, Christmas day evening get togethers, baby showers, my 40th surprise birthday party, on and on....) They move out in September. On to better things for them but I will sure miss our perfect party spot.
