A Trip to Visit GG

The beginning of March my Grandma, who is 99, started having some health issues. It was really scary at first... I had originally thought I might fly out with the kids during Spring Break to see her one last time but with the wise cousel of my dad we decided to just wait and see how she did. Day to day she improved. She certainly wasn't in the shape she had been before and she now needed professional care to help with meals and using the bathroom. I still was having a tug in my heart to get out and see her, even if her decline was happening very slowly, so I booked a trip for me and Ivy to see her the end of March. I am so glad I did!! We had the absolute best visit with her. She had definately declined sinced the last time I had seen her. Some of our conversation was discouraging (like when she asked me how many children I had or who my brothers were) but for the most part our visit was wonderful. We had a lot of 1-on-1 time just visiting, laughing, reminicing, hugging, crying, loving and just being together. It. Was. Priceless. I cherish this weekend and think about it often, especially because it was the last time I saw her. It truly was a gift.
We came home with full and happy hearts!!

Spring Break 2019

We started Spring Break off right with strawberry picking in Plant City with some of our friends!
Jackson and Paisley picked the biggest strawberries!
We went to the largest and most amazing park on our way home... I wish I had more pictures of the place. We ate pizza and enjoyed a really fun day!
We also went to Chuck E. Cheese's! The pay-by-the-hour is the way to go!! These kids loved it!

Chuck E. Cheese's is in Melbourne so we packed suits, drove through McDonald's drive-thru for lunch and met up with cousins at the beach!

We didn't get enough of the beach and decided to get a hotel on the beach for the weekend!

The waves won and took this girl face down into the ground. Poor thing. Had quite fat lip and scab to follow. Glad she didn't let that keep her from catching the waves!!
Sunday evening fishing around our pond was a great end to a really great week!

Spring Break wouldn't be complete without a sleepover!!

My Birthday Boys

The month of March always brings my birthday boys from the very start! Daniel was 41 this year! We just went out to dinner and didn't take a single picture. Shucks. As for Jackson's birthday, we started the celebration on Saturday the 2nd. He invited 3 of his friends to our favorite trampoline park and we all had a blast!! The boys came over afterwards for a swim and we had a great day. And again, I didn't take a single picture (a few videos from the trampoline park but that's it). Sunday night we invited all the family over for cake and ice cream. A Fortnite cake was requested. On Monday, the actual birthday of the boy, I let him skip school. Daniel and I took him to Koffee Kup for breakfast at his request. We went to Walmart to run an errand and I let him pick something out for himself. We got his physical for football taken care of and that night we ate at Buffet City (also his request). We opened gifts that evening and enjoyed our big 10 year old. I can hardly believe I have a 10 year old!!
