The Big Birthday Boy is 7!

Jackson turned 7 last month. I miss the tiny little tot he used to be but I am really enjoying the kid he is now. He is older and more capable. He is so helpful. He is smart and witty. He is fun to talk to and be around. I enjoy our conversations. He makes me a proud mama again and again and I love being his mom.
2 stories to share about this kid. First one happened the other night. Daniel called. It's the 2nd to last day of the month and he hadn't been able to finish his home teaching. Could I run Jackson over to the Mortensens so he could complete it for him? And he did!! He prepared a little lesson, we went over everything he should do and he did it! (I stayed in the car with the kids... he went all by himself.) Such a good little buddy!
Second Story... He couldn't find his blankie before bed the other night (this was a few weeks ago). I was doing lashes at the time and couldn't help him look and was getting annoyed that he kept coming out of bed. I sternly cautioned him to get to bed and don't come out again or else!! He could use another blankie in the mean time. A short while later he slowly comes creeping out again, blankie in hand, tears in his eyes. He said he had gone back to his room and said a prayer that Heavenly Father would help him find his blankie. He said he heard a voice (Jesus' voice) tell him to get back into bed like his mom told him. So he climbed back into bed. He stretched his legs out under his covers and felt something comfy cozy on his feet... it was his blankie! Right there hiding in his bed. It was such a sweet moment... this boy needed help, said a prayer and received an answer. I couldn't be a happier mama.
Birthday hat in the morning! Followed by breakfast in bed and presents!
I took him out of school a little early (it was Friday!) got a sitter for Benny until Daniel got home and took the kids to Disney! We met up with the Haughts and closed the park down!
The next day was his party... boys only fishing tournament then back to our house for pizza, cake and ice cream. We went out to dinner that night, his choice, Buffet City of course. And I think we can call it a huge birthday success!!

Blogging Blitz!

I'm way behind.... like way way behind!! April is this weekend and I have March birthdays and Spring Break and Easter to post about!! Plus all this stuff! So here is a quick blog blitz to get me back on track!

When you have a day off school in February what do you do? Spend Christmas gift cards at Target!! We had a blast! Thank you GG, Grandma Gerry and Grandma Munns & Godad!!!
 Wild Florida for the win!!!

Jackson wasn't feeling well for a couple days and I kept him home from school. He accompanied me on a few errands and was the best little helper! (makes me want to keep him home more often!) I love his classic squinty eye smile. Also, in this particular picture, Benny had fallen asleep in the car. He hadn't been asleep very long and I just assumed he'd wake up when we ran inside the grocery store. Well, he did not. Instead he slept through the entire grocery trip, slept while I buckled him back in the car, slept while I transferred him to his crib when we got home and then proceeded to sleep for another 2 hours. Craziness! He is one amazing baby!
Yep... we are losing more teeth around here. 5 to date.
Hitting up the temple again! (after my year long baby hiatus - I'm ashamed, I know.) With my mama and with Daniel's aunt and uncle and cousins.
A nice treat! Dinner with Grandma and Godad... Egg Fo Young!
Daniel's typical Saturday errands with the boys, complete with sizzlies from Wawa!
With a little (okay A LOT) of help from my dad... Christmas + Birthday money, I splurged and bought us Disney passes!!! They have been A-MAZING!!! One of the best decisions I've ever made!
This cute school girl and her buddies during her St. Patrick's Day activity!
The Florida weather has returned. This means swim suits at all times.
Rub a dub dub my 3 babies in the tub.

Boo

What do you do when you have too many pictures of your baby?!! Might as well get them all in one post. And let me say a couple things about this baby while I'm talking about him. He is so sweet. He is so smiley and friendly and loving and snuggley. He loves pointing at airplanes and throwing things away. He love raspberries and string cheese. He gives the cutest pats on your back. He is quick and smart. He loves his paci's and his people. We are so lucky he is apart of our family.
