Inbetween

Everything in between all our June travels...

Benny's haircut!
Dinners at Village Inn when I'm out of town (Daniel loves the pot roast - he's like an 80 year old man).
I know I mentioned Ivy was sick, but it hit Booje too...

This box remained in our living room for weeks.
Ivy was able to attend our old congregations girls camp. Sadly, I had to pick her and Sophie both up early with fevers. She enjoyed it for the 2 days she was there but was pretty miserable for a good week afterwards.
Crewbie!
We did celebrate this man on Father's Day!!! We are so lucky to have him!!!
Future Father right here...
A couple "before" photos of the "mop head"

And you'll have to catch the after next month but here is the "during"

Au Revoir!

The day we had been dreading finally came. The day we had to say goodbye to our favorite family in the whole world. It was a sad, sad day with many tears. It was so hard!! They are off on an exciting adventure and we are all left with a hole in our hearts!!

New Orleans!

June was a busy month! Add New Orleans to the list of places I got to go!! Sadly, Ivy was supposed to come with me on this trip, too, but she got sick!! Poor thing, we thought she'd have enough time to kick it but it was a doozy and she was feverish and miserable. So I had to leave her behind. So sad!! She would have had so much fun. Besides that bit of bad news, me and my mom had an awesome time!! Jeff and Shaylee got there first and had already grabbed the rental car so they picked us up. We stopped to have some dinner and then checked into our hotel which was right across the street from where Shaylee was competing. The next day our little gymnast put on the best performance of her life and basically took home all the golds!! It was so fun to see her out there!! Such a fun day!!

We all booked ourselves an extra day after her competition so we had the chance to spend a day in New Orleans together. We made sure to eat the most delicious food, we went on a swamp tour, walked  around the French Quarter and just enjoyed being together. It was so fun. Shaylee is the cutest thing there ever was and it is always wonderful spending time with my baby brother.

Going Away Party

We hosted a going away party for Ryan and Heather and their family... just a chance for everyone that wanted to come by and say their goodbyes!! We had a lot of worker bees helping to put on the most delicious French cuisine and the night was an absolute success!!
We are sure going to miss them!

Jackson's High Adventure

This kid was busy this summer! Early the morning after we got home from Ft. Myer he had to be at the bishop's house to meet for their High Adventure. They stayed in an Air BnB up in Ocala and hit up 4 different Florida Springs. Jackson said he had a great time... especially the night the few of them snuck out, took one of the leaders cars, drove to Walmart, played football in the middle of the street in the middle of the night and ding-dong-ditched in the neighborhood. I'm glad I didn't know until after the fact. But I'm also glad he had a really good time.

Fort Myers

We spent an entire week in the Keys. We drove back Saturday the 10th. It's a solid 6 hour drive. The very next day we packed ourselves back in the car and took off for Fort Myers! This was only a 3 hour drive thank goodness. Daniel had a work event there and he wanted us to join him... how could we refuse? I had never been there and it is a cute little beach town. They still had quite a bit of hurricane damage from the year before but we enjoyed walking around their beachfront area and enjoyed dinner together and the pool. The next day Daniel went to his meetings and the kids and I found a tasty breakfast spot and went to the beach!! It was honestly one of the best days I've ever enjoyed with the kids. They were all so happy and pleasant. Sadly, Jackson had to be home the next morning for his High Adventure Activity with the boys in his youth group so we drove home that night. But we loved going and plan to go back!!

You can't see it but the street name was JACKSON
