This year Jackson became a teenager!! 13 years, hard to believe. Luckily he still humored me in taking my birthday hat pictures. He was very responsible this year, not wanting to miss a test and a few other various things in the morning so he asked that I just pick him up early from school so we could just go to lunch. Once I grabbed him we met Daniel at Philly Steak and Cheese and then Jackson and I spent the rest of the afternoon shopping! We picked up some bait, a couple fishing nets, some t-shirts and boxing gloves. It was a wonderful afternoon with my boy.
That evening we went to Drive Shack with a few of his friends, had dinner at PDQ on the way home, had a few boxing matches, played some rowdy basketball and ate DQ ice cream cake and the night was a success!!! Loved celebrating my boy all day and at the end of the night he said it was a perfect birthday. Love this teen of mine.
Things are ticking along at the house!!We came back from Mexico to having our garage doors installed! The mason has started doing the brick on the exterior... it looks soooo pretty!! I had to decide on interior paint colors (that's a real optical illusion!) And our pool plumbing and pool tile was done!
My minivan has been really good to us. I've had her for 8 years and I have loved her. But Daniel insisted we not put another "dime" into her and she was in need of a timing belt and was leaking a little oil because of a cracked oil pan gasket. Anyhow, it felt like the right time and we started the search!! It didn't take too long and we found a slightly used 2019 Ford Expedition that we loved. She's roomy, will pull the boat and we all love her!! She's not quite as economical as the van (I do not like filling her up!) but she has a lot of fun bells and whistles! The kids love her!
