Swim Lessons

I've had the worst luck with Ivy's swim lessons. I decided I'd give the St. Cloud civic center a try and it was a total joke. Seriously, she learned pretty much nothing. I guess you get what you pay for but I'm having a hard time finding something in the affordable middle. The civic center charged $35 for 8, 30 minute lessons and the private instructors I've found start at $30 per lesson! Eek! But luckily it's early in our swim season and I'm determined to have her swimming by the end of the summer so stay tuned...

Happy Birthday Ivy!!!

Here she is!! The cutest birthday girl EVER!!! Our big 3 year old!! I love our birthday hat tradition!
We went to Disney World for Ivy's birthday. Our neighbor was able to get us in and we went the Wednesday before Ivy's birthday (while she was still free) and we had so much fun! It was hot but not too crowded. We started at Animal Kingdom for the first few hours and finished the day off at Magic Kingdom. Ivy is now tall enough for Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain (surprisingly!) so we hit the thriller rides while we were there and had so much fun!

Ivy's birthday fell on a Saturday and with the exception of Jackson's baseball game and her nap... she got to do whatever she wanted! She watched shows, ate donuts for breakfast, went swimming and had her birthday party with all her best friends complete with a Daisy Duck cake (which she helped me make and licked the batter bowl clean!). She loved everything from her Frozen t-shirt to her balloons. She is one adorable sweet-heart - so easy to please and happy as can be! I wrapped her gifts while she napped and when she woke up and saw all her presents she kept exclaiming, "Thank you mommy!! Thank you so much for all my presents! Thank you mommy!" With plenty of hugs and kisses. She hadn't even opened them yet. Sweet girl!

Daddy Daughter Date

Daniel took Ivy out for daddy/daughter date. Ivy talked about it for days beforehand. She was so cute picking out her earrings and putting on make up and nail polish.
She insisted that Sophie and Charlotte come along so it was Daniel and all the girls!
They started out at Chick-fil-A, did a little shopping at Dollar General and then hit up some frozen yogurt at the end of the night! Such a fun little tradition for my girl.
(Jackson and I snuck out to see Rio 2 so I got a little date night of my own!)

Easter Festivities

My kids love looking through blog books. They saw the Easter post from last year when they dyed eggs and they were relentless about asking when we'd be dying eggs. Well the day finally came! The night before Easter we dyed eggs like crazy!
Here are my beauties in their Easter best! It was a real cute photo shoot, complete with lots of kissing!

We snapped a few family pictures after church.
The Easter bunny came while we were at church so the kids got their goodies when we got home.
That evening we enjoyed a nice Easter dinner at Daniel's parents and then had our annual Easter egg hunt for the kids out in the backyard. They loved it! And Ivy sure loves taking selfies with uncle Sam!

Might as well throw in Jackson's class Easter egg hunt.
Ivy and I were able to help hide eggs for his class and lucky Ivy got to hunt as well.
