A Little Bit Here, A Little Bit There

We've been spending a whole lotta time at the pool! This big kiddo is a great little swimmer and Ivy keeps me busy chasing her, grabbing her, holding her, wrangling her. Maybe next summer I can do more relaxing at the pool. Luckily we have the splash pad which gives her a little more freedom and me a little break.
Jack Jack always eats lunch on the couch while he watches his show before his nap. I tried Ivy out on the couch the other day. It was short lived but she was tickled to be sitting next to Jack like a big girl.
Doing a little garden hose action in the driveway when the afternoon is a little too long and the weather is a little too hot.
I love my snuggle time in the morning with the kids.
Spending many days with my sissies while Erika is in town from Utah
Couldn't resist posting this little gem of my cutest baby girl!!
Do you think this kid has enough toys?? Holy cow he's spoiled!! And he is so good about playing by himself (or with Ivy) in his room when I need to practice the piano or do eye lashes.
Ivy just got over a nasty case of pink eye. It really took a toll on her - fever, congestion, pretty much the works. She is well now (thankfully) but I will miss my extra snuggles with my little peanut.
And a little hog hunting from these two hooligans.

A Happy Father's Day

I do want to take a moment to express my gratitude for a few great men in my life. First, the father of my babies who is such a good example of what a great father should be... I couldn't have asked for a better man for my babes. Here he is on his big day, eating his Father's Day dinner.
And the little man of course! My favorite future father!! He makes me so happy!
And my own father! I just wish I could have hugged and squeezed him on his day to show him just how much I love him. I am so grateful for the close relationship we share even though we are far away. He is a wonderful father - and an amazing grandfather... I couldn't have picked a better one!

Family Trip to Jupiter

Whoa! So I've been slacking big time!! Can't believe we are in the last week of June and I have 1 post to show for it. Sad. It's been a pretty average month but I should have more posted. I'll start with our little trip to Jupiter and then see what else I can scrounge up.
We went fishing in Jupiter for a couple nights a couple weeks ago. We left Friday and left with beautiful weather but by the time we got down to our hotel it was rainy and gross. The 2.5 hour drive was made possible with lots of junk food and we only had one potty disaster. The weather didn't stop Daniel and Jordan from going out on the boat once we arrived but it did stop Shanda and I from hitting the pool. So we went shopping instead. Too bad our kids were maniacs otherwise we might have been able to enjoy ourselves.
The next day was MUCH better. Beautiful weather!! We hit the pool, went on a boat ride and spent some time at the sand bar (that was unfortunately still underwater but we waded around in the shallow water anyway). Daniel and Jordan had some luck fishing, Jack enjoyed playing with the extra bait to death (literal death). We had a nice dinner that evening, put the kids down super early and spent the night in the hot tub.
We headed home the next day and that was that!!

Picking Berries

Last week we went to a U-Pick farm to pick blueberries and blackberries!! It was so much fun! The weather was perfect and it was a nice little family activity. We split up when we got there - I had Ivy and we hit up the blackberries (she was a total juicy mess with a full belly when we were done)... Daniel took Jack to get the blueberries. We are still enjoying our loot! Daniel and Jack got the VIP treatment from the owner of the farm (who Daniel happens to know - he is actually one of Daniel's favorite subs in the construction industry who is doing the berry picking as a hobby) and were zipping all over the place in his little ATV tractor. We had so many berries when all was said and done I had to bake a cobbler!! I think this will be a new family tradition.
