Oh February!

February has been a good month! The weather has been beautiful! We've been able to spend our days at the splash pad, fishing at the pond, going to Disney, going on walks, and having playdates! Such a blessed life we live!

And this busy little girl got her first shiner! She is pulling up on everything, scooting around and sometimes gets brave enough to take a step here and there. Unfortunately, she's not so stable and faceplanted on Jack's rocking chair. Sad day!

Welcome to Florida Uncle Sam!

Sam is here!! He's actually been here for 2 weeks so I'm a bit behind! We are lucky to have him!!

Osceola County Fair

I always look forward to the fair each year. It's something new and fun to do. This year we not only hit up the fair but we were sure to go to the Silver Spurs rodeo to watch the "bucking" bull riding. Jackson loved it. And Ivy just enjoyed the ride.

My Sweet Little Valentine

Jackson's First Sleepover

Daniel wanted to "camp" with Jack in our living room last weekend. They were both very excited about it. Daniel thought it would be fun to invite Jackson's favorite cousin, Austin. They both had a good time. We went to Jamison's basketball game beforehand, had a late dinner, did some playing around (with Austin's very cool helicopter) and before we knew it, it was time for bed (9:30ish). We put on a show and before long Austin peacefull dozed off to sleep. Do you think Jack Jack could do the same? Of course not! This kid struggled!! We tried everything... putting him back in his room, threatening, laying with him... he just couldn't give it up!!! Finally, at about 11:30, he fell asleep. And of course he was up bright and early at 7:00. I'm thinking it might be awhile before our next slumber party. Here are some pictures I snapped of the boys.

Nightly Checkup

I went to Jack Jack's room tonight to check on him before I went to bed as I usually do each night. Tonight he was in a funny position so I grabbed the camera and snapped a couple shots. This roused him for a moment. He sat up and looked at me, very groggy. I whispered, "Sorry to wake you buddy. I was just checking up on you. I love you." He rolled back over and as I was slowly closing the door he whispered (and I could barely hear it) "Love you too mommy." Melted my heart.

Me and My Girl

I was working on Ivy's first year baby book and came across these photos. I had forgotten about this little photo shoot we had! I couldn't resist posting these pictures of me and my cutest, most adorable baby girl. Really there isn't a cuter baby out there. I love her.

The Orlando Science Center

Jack Jack had a doctor's appointment in Orlando on Tuesday. It was right next door to the Orlando Science Center so we went early and made a day of it. It was so much fun!!! I couldn't believe all the things they had to do for little kids and Jackson loved it! I pretty much just followed him around with my camera snapping photos.

We started off at the "Bob the Builder" exhibit. This was very cool. They had all kinds of "machinery" for the kids to drive and legos, puzzles, tools, you name it!

The dinosaur exhibit was a sure favorite. It was cool looking at life sized dinosaurs and even spending some time "digging" for dino bones.

They had a small but extensive animal exhibit. Turtles, snakes, lizards, frogs, toads, alligators and a very cool aquarium with sting rays and a very interesting sting ray feeding.

Their kid's corner was our favorite, I think. A giant tree to climb. Tunnels to explore. A full kitchen complete with chef's clothing and every food you could imagine. A kids computer. A musical instrument area. The kids was in heaven. Even Ivy enjoyed this place.

The "science" portion of the center was super cool. I loved walking around the exhibits. And Jackson was intrigued with many of the hands on things they had, even if he didn't understand what it meant.

What a great day!! We will definitely be going back!
