Weatherford Texas

We spent a few days in Weatherford, TX visiting Ray and Carol Watson. Ray is an old hunting buddy of Daniels. We started the trip off with a fishing tournament in their pond. I won 9 fish to Daniel's measily 5. :)

This was the biggest catch of the day!

There were literally hundreds of catfish in his pond so catching 9 wasn't really that hard.

We road around their little town and surrounding areas the next day. We stopped at some local shops and had a big breakfast. Here I took Daniels picture on a variety of chairs... the last being the largest chair in the world!

Here are our wonderful hosts!

Daniel tried shooting poor innocent turtles in their pond but had so success - luckily!

I almost brought home this pup!

We also attended the Weatherford Peach Festival but have no pictures to document! Thanks, Ray and Carol, for a wonderful time!

Fishing in Jupiter

We spent a couple days over the 4th of July weekend at the beach in Jupiter, FL. It was a perfect little vacation! We stayed in this really nice little hotel with a great pool that was right on the water with it's own dock so boating was easily accessible. Daniel spent just about every waking minute on the boat fishing, but I however, went out only twice and spent the rest of the time sunbathing at the pool. It was wonderful and here are the pictures of our fantastic catches!

Daniel caught the first fish within seconds of his first cast. It was then one right after another. If only every fishing trip was this exciting!

We ate this sweet little catch!

Here is my exciting catch!

Ta-Da!

Little snapper!

Shanda got some action, too!

Visit from Mom!

I had my mom here for a couple weeks visiting me and Daniel. Usually I keep her busy with some sort of project or another but this time we did nothing but relax! We slept in, ate out, went to the temple, ran errands, napped, saw a movie, got everything together for Buster's trip and spent a relaxing few days at the beach in Jupiter! I just enjoyed getting to spend time with her - if only she lived closer!! Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures while she was here so this old one will have to do for now. Thanks mom, for your trip out! Hope you know how much I love you and miss you! Should we start planning the next one?

I took this quick snapshot at Delta cargo the morning we sent Buster off to his new home in California. The report is that he is adjusting well and adored by all! We miss you, too, Buster!

Da Da Da-Dum... (you know - the Wedding song!)

Congratulations Jordan and Shanda Munns! May 31st 2008!

Cocoa

Cocoa is the least favorite dog of ours, to most people. But, he is my personal favorite. How can you resist loving a little pup who hides out in the bushes? (or behind the couch?)
